Grace, Love and Peace to each and everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Memory Verse
Ephesians 2:17-18
17 When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Welcome to Systematic Study on letter to Ephesians

Last week we learnt that
The Work of Jesus on the cross has brought three things into a believers life

1. We are no longer foreigners and strangers
2. We are fellow citizens with the saints
3. Members of God's household

This week let us study
Ephesians 2:20
built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.

Every believer need to be built on a foundation of
* Apostles
* Prophets
* Corner stone - Jesus Christ

Apostles teaching:
Acts 2:42
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to the prayers.

Apostles always focussed on
1. Teaching
The apostles taught the truth about Jesus Christ – the Gospel.
They also taught how salvation in Jesus Christ was to be worked out in the life of the believer. (Romans 1:5)

2. Fellowship
Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, 25 not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

3. Breaking of Bread

4. Prayers
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Rejoice always!
17 Pray constantly.
18 Give thanks in everything,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

* Prophets
The whole old Testament is prophets
Prophets means all the prophecies
Prophets also means the Moses and the law

* Jesus the Corner Stone
It serves as a foundation for other masonry layouts and that is why this building block is the most important part of ancient construction methods. It makes all construction areas align and measure correctly.
