Monterey County Forster Care Ornaments:
Help us bless children in foster care in Monterey this Christmas! We have the Christmas gift requests of almost 200 children currently in the foster care system here in Monterey County. This is a yearly opportunity to bless our community's most vulnerable children while also being a faithful, Christlike witness to our county's social workers. If you'd like to shop for a child or two, head to the Welcome Center after service to sign out an ornament and instructions. Gifts are due back to the church no later than Sunday, December 4th.

A Special Evening with Dr. JP Moreland:
We are excited to be welcoming Dr. JP Moreland as a special guest speaker on Sunday, December 4th. Dr. Moreland will be sharing a special message titled “Getting Rid of Guilt and Shameful Feelings and Learning to Forgive.”
When was the last time you had to give forgiveness to someone? Was it easy to give forgiveness, or did you give it begrudgingly? How did you feel you gave that forgiveness? When was the last time you had to ask someone for forgiveness? Did you feel shame and guilt leading up to that forgiveness? Thinking through these questions we are probably reflecting on how God is our perfect example of true forgiveness and how we are so freely given forgiveness by Him. What a gift!

Our hope is that as we wrestle with these truths, you will join us for this powerful evening and that you will invite your believing and unbelieving friends and family. There will be a Q&A time following Dr. Moreland’s message that will be open to questions on any topic of the Christian faith, not just shame and forgiveness. Middle School and High School students are encouraged to join their parents in the Sanctuary. Dinner will be available for purchase in the Grille and there will be some fun holiday treats after the presentation on the patio. This is a free event with childcare provided upon registration. Calvary Kids will have fun Christmas crafts and a movie planned for the evening. Visit our website to get more information and to register your kids. You won't want to miss this amazing evening so mark your calendars!

Christmas Services:
Christmas is coming! This is one of our favorite times of year, and we can't wait to celebrate with you, our church family! On Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th, we will hold three services at 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm. Each service will have a time of worship, a message by Pastor Nate, and a few songs from our kid’s choir. Children are invited to join their families for service. There will be multiple seating options available in the Main Sanctuary, Sanctuary 2, the patio, the Family room, and the Nursing Mom’s room. The Grille will be open and will be serving a delicious Christmas Eve dinner. We will have our annual photo booth, hot cocoa, and cookies after each service. Please join us, and invite your family, friends, and neighbors as we celebrate our greatest gift, Jesus!

We will also be holding one service on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25th, at 10am. This will be a family service with children in the main service with their families. Consider making this part of your Christmas morning. More information about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services is available on our website.
