Scripture Genesis 25:1-34 and Hebrews 12:15-17

Don't despise your birthright

1. When you compare with what is happening in other peoples' lives and judge by world expectations, you might think God's plan is not progressing and his promises are not happening for you

2. The fact that you are saved and blessed and part of God's plan does not mean you will not encounter difficulty and hardship in achieving the promises

3. Don't ignore God's promises and salvation as they are of eternal value, and your actions have consequences which should make you make the right choices
