Given El Bethel!
Genesis 35:6-10

Names are so important. Jacob gives the name “El Bethel” as a testimony to his family, which means “the house of God and that He is there” (Gen 35:7). Then we hear of another name “Deborah” who is the handmaiden to Rachel. She passes away and is berried and the place is called “Allon Bachuth”, meaning “terebinth of weeping” (Gen 35:9). Next, God tells Jacob that no longer or from this day forward, that you shall be called by all “Israel”, which means, he who wrestles or struggled with God and prevailed (Gen 35:10). Finally, God speak to all the people what His name is, “ I Am God Almighty” (Gen 35:11). Disciple Principle: We need to see that we are important to God and that we too will have our place of Bethel where we will struggle through things, but in the end, God will touch us and bless us and fulfill His divine plan for our lives.
