Giving Out Truth!
Genesis 42:1-24
It was now time for Joseph and his brother to face up to their lies and to speak forth the truth of the events that took place over a decade before (Gen 42:16). The family was living under a canopy of lies. The truth that Joseph wanted his brothers to see is to “fear God” (Gen 42:18). If the brothers walk in truth they will live, if they choose to live out a lie, they will die (Gen 42:20). Before things could move forward and before reconciliation could happen, they would have to confront their lies about Joseph (Gen 42:21-22). Disciple Principle: Jesus said, it is the truth that sets the captive free (John 8:32). Let us speak the truth of Christ and His word to each other in love. Remember: All sin will one day confront us. What we think was hidden God will reveal. Maybe it is time for more “true truth”.
