THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS tells us that our own self-rightesouness is insufficient, and lacking the ability to Save us on Judgement Day! Which means the works we do for GOD on earth will not earn us a place in Heaven. If we "Pay it forward"... if we give to the poor... if we are very religious... if we fast... if we allow ourselves to be nailed to a cross and some do...? None of these works of our flesh will convince GOD that we deserve to go to heaven, and not burn in hell because of all of the other unrighteous things we do, when we are not being "religious".. ONLY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF JESUS, THE CHRIST WILL GET US A HOLY PARDON, AND A PLACE IN HEAVEN. Nothing else outside of total surrender to Jesus, the Son, and Word of GOD will get us into heaven. We need to be clothed in his righteous garments in order to gain access to Heaven!
