The Cross of Christ
The message of the gospel is the “cross of Christ”; the “cross of Christ” is the Love of God.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 1 Corinthians 1:17

1. Define “steward” – 4:1. In what sense are preachers stewards? 

2. What is the main requirement of stewards – 4:2? Explain.

3. Give examples of ways stewards may be unfaithful. 

4. Who judges a steward – 4:3,4? Whose judgment of him matters little?

5. When will we be judged? What advantages will the judge have – 4:5?
