Scriptures used in this teaching:

1 Corth.15:1-4
Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters
of the gospel I preached to you,
which you received,
in which you stand,
and by which you are being saved,
if you hold fast to the gospel I preached to you—
unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you as of first importance
what I also received:
that Christ died for our sins
in accordance with the Scriptures
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures

Hebrews 11: 1-6
1. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen.
2. For by it the people of old received their commendation.
3. By faith we understand that the universe was created
by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out
of things that are visible.
4. By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice
than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous,
God commending him by accepting his gifts.
And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks.
5. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death,
and he was not found, because God had taken him.
Now before he was taken he was commended
as having pleased God.
6. And without faith it is impossible to please him,
for whoever would draw near to God
must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who seek him.

Hebrews 11:24-26
By faith Moses, when he was grown up,
refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter,
choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God
than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.
He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt,
for he was looking to the reward.

Psalms 36:8-9
They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light do we see light.

Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life;
    in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures for evermore.

Hebrews 10:34-36
34. For you had compassion on those in prison,
and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property,
since you knew that you yourselves
had a better possession and an abiding one.
35. Therefore do not throw away your confidence,
which has a great reward.
36. For you have need of endurance,
so that when you have done the will of God
you may receive what is promised.

Hebrews 11:16
But as it is, they desire a better country,
that is, a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God,
for he has prepared for them a city.

1 Peter 1:4
to an inheritance
that is imperishable,
undefiled,
and unfading,
kept in heaven for you

Matthew 6:1-4
1.“Beware of practising your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
2 “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others.
Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Col. 3:24
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
