As believers, we are small—smaller than the smallest—when compared to the powers of darkness.

We can’t protect ourselves. But when we invite God into our lives and are filled with the Holy Spirit, He becomes our shield. He delights in carrying us like a Shepherd carries a lamb on His shoulders. You can have full trust that He will always be with you, will always protect you, and will never let you go through more than you can handle.

It’s by His Spirit, not by our power or might.
