Part of the holy items that Israel was to make was the table of showbread. Even though we will learn more about this table in our future studies of Leviticus and Numbers, instructions on how to build it are contained in Exodus. So just how large was this table to be? In Lesson 149 of our study of Exodus we learn the answer to this question.

** The cubit used in the measurement conversions is 18 inches. This cubit is known as the short cubit. However, I would be remiss if I didn't tell you of another possible cubit measurement, the long cubit which measures 21.6 cubits. If Moses used this cubit, then everything concerning the sanctuary would be larger than described in this podcast. Is this important? Not in the grand scheme of things, because God hasn't commanded us to build him this. However, it is good to keep in mind, that whichever cubit Moses used, he did so according to God's instructions, and would have thus been obedient. **
