The Spirit of Life
Romans 8:1-11

The Holy Spirit
is the law of life.
God raised Jesus
from the dead (Acts 2:23-24).
The Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit who gives life (Rom 8:11).
The Holy Spirit put His seal upon righteousness (Eph 1:13),
raised the Righteous One from the dead (Acts 3:15),
and gives life to justified spirits.
The Lord’s law is the truth (Ps 119:142).
In the same way, the law of the Spirit (Rom 8:2)
sets us free from the law of sin and death.
Salvation is solely through the law of faith (Rom 3:27),
that is, through the law of the Spirit in Jesus.
Jesus is the first fruits of the resurrection (1 Cor 15:23).
Those who belong to Him will resurrect with Him (Rom 6:5).
The resurrection has an order (1 Cor 15:23):
Jesus comes first,
and after He comes, those who belong to Him.
Then the end will come (1 Cor 15:24).
The living and the dead must come before the White Throne (Rev 20:11)
to be judged (John 5:29).
The Holy Spirit comes on those who believe the Gospel (Acts 2:38-39, 10:38-45).
○ God’s work changed death into resurrection.
The Gospel calls ‘death’,
‘resurrection’ instead.
○ The law of the Spirit abolished the Righteous One’s death
and gave life through the law of life and resurrection.
○ This is the clear experience of Christians:
first faith, second repentance, and third baptism in immersion,
and then fullness of the Holy Spirit.
※ The witness to Jesus’ resurrection is our faith. This is what we spread.
If you believe in Jesus, receive the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit who gives life.
