How to pray through Pandemic / Conceived in Pain, Delivered in Victory
1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Jabez was more honorable (heavy) than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge myself / my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

While going through pain / trials; in our weakness; either we pray and recite bible verses that state that nothing harm can come to God’s people or keep God out of our pain and take every thing on us and suffer in silence.

God our father in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit enables us to pray in, voicing our pain and sorrows, our trust in his steadfastness, our assurance in his will.

Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

1. Praying out our pain and sorrow – keep me from evil so I may not cause pain
Voicing your pain, voicing your concerns, voicing your fears
Jeremiah prayer Jere 8:18-19a, Ps 13, My God why have you forsaken me

2. Praying out in God’s comfort – Let your hand oh God be with me
Seeking and trusting in God’s providence, his presence and his might; active in our life
David’s prayer – PS 23, Habakkuk 3:17-19

3. Praying out for Gods will – Enlarge myself / vision / boarder for me to see your will
Praying to see (God’s purposes and will) – why did God allow such things in my life e.g. my Name to be Jabez, for me to be insulted in society, for me to suffer without reason
what is hindered (God’s purposes and his glory) by our empirical situations, visible pain and sorrows talked about by world around us.
prayer of Jesus – Mathew 26:38-39

Praying Lord prayer – Luke 11:2-4, Mathew 6:9-13,
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
