When you face a difficult moment, and your back is against the wall, what do you do?

We've all had our moment like that. Maybe it was a health scare, or job loss, or the loss of a loved one.

Part of living in this broken world means that we will face times when we have come to the end of our ability to change things. We will feel helpless and vulnerable, and perhaps even frightened to the core.

But as followers of Jesus, we don't have to live like that.

We can have peace, and know that God is a God who loves to rescue His children. 2 Samuel 22:18 says, "He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes (problems), who were too strong for me."

In today's message, we're going to see how King Hezekiah found himself with his back to the wall. His capital city of Jerusalem was surrounded on all side, and he needed a miracle if the people were going to survive. He prayed-and his prayer shook the nations.

In the same way, our prayers can make a big difference, but we need to know how to pray. His example will teach us how to invite God's presence in our darkest moments, and trust in Him to answer.
