This Sunday the sermon is from Zechariah 1:7-17 – “God’s Covenant; God’s Commitment”. “… I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy; my house shall be built in it …” – Zechariah 1:16

In the 6th Century B.C., God showed mercy to his covenant people. He delivered them from their captivity in Babylon and resettled them in the Promised Land. Furthermore, he promised to rebuild the Temple that had been destroyed. God is merciful and faithful to his people even in their sin and unfaithfulness. Paul reminds us, “… if we are faithless, he remains faithful – for he cannot deny himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13)
