We are all searching for our identity but sometimes we can get caught up in the fact that we need to belong to something. Through our spiritual deconstruction series, Jordan discussed last week, the importance of knowing where our own identity lies before we can truly give it to God. It is okay to not feel secure in your faith when something feels off or misinterpreted that is part of the walk. It is better to doubt than live a life of spiritual blindness. However, it is important as a church to be open with our brothers and sisters by allowing them to question and come to an understanding. A true identity in God should never be forced just like Jesus never forced anyone onto him. He was open to anyone all they have to do is come to him.
