In John’s gospel Jesus offends religious leaders by claiming to be God’s son, but in Psalm 82:6 God says humans are gods:

"I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.'”

This psalm should be familiar since Jesus quotes it in John 10:34:

Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are "gods"'?

God says humans are gods though I don’t know if God means all humans or just some. The phrase “sons of the Most High” may exclude females.

Isaiah 45:5 is a problem since it says humans cannot be gods: “I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.”





In John 10:34, Jesus quotes Psalm 82:6--humans are gods! Isaiah 45:5 says opposite
