In this video we will examine the context of this passage to see that it isn't teaching the false doctrine that the LORD created sin. Rather, it is teaching that God creates calamity (wars, disasters, pestilence, drought, etc...) in order to accomplish His will. The word "evil" is being contrasted with peace, just like light is being contrasted with darkness. The opposite of peace is calamity, adversity, and affliction. We will also look at the Hebrew word for "evil" to see the deep meaning behind it and examine how it is used in other places in the Old Testament to confirm that it isn't referring to sin based on its context.
