Isaiah 53. Oh the depth of the shame that Christ was willing to endure for us. This passage taught me more of Christ's suffering ; the ridicule, the oppression, the judgment, the rejection. It shows me how though "we esteemed Him" one way...in reality we were tragically wrong. The Words "But, Him, He" and "But We and Us" is contrasted over and over as well as what He accomplished on the cross "pierced through" "healed" "interceded" on it goes. Such graphic love. Whenever I complain about things in my life not going my way, or feel as if I deserve better, or don't sense Jesus' love..I turn to this passage and it totally helps comfort and put me in my place at the same time.
