International Sunday School Lesson - Sunday School in 7minutes

Solomon was the 10 son of David and the 3rd king of a united Israel preceded by Saul and his father David. Known for his wisdom and leadership, he ruled for 40 years during the golden period of Israel.
In Solomon’s corporate prayer we hear him Praising God for a unique personal and national relationship
Invoking historic references that unit tribes that tends not to work together
Inspiring the nation with OT references
Solomon the king standing be for this national religious symbol blesses the people of Israel.
He arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven:
Remember Solomon began this prayer standing, but some time before he finished, he fell to his knees in reverence to God. The king laying prostrate before the lord. Showing that even a man of his power and knowledge and reputation is still subject to the Lord
Ezra prayed on his knees (Ezra 9:5),
the Psalmist called us to kneel (Psalm 95:6),
Daniel prayed on his knees (Daniel 6:10),
people came to Jesus kneeling (Matthew 17:14, Matthew 20:20, Mark 1:40),
Stephen prayed on his knees (Acts 7:60),
Peter prayed on his knees (Acts 9:40),
Paul prayed on his knees (Acts 20:36, Ephesians 3:14), and
other early Christians prayed on their knees (Acts 21:5). Most importantly, Jesus prayed on His knees (Luke 22:41).
The Bible has enough prayer not on the knees to show MC that it isn’t required, but it also has enough prayer on the knees to show us that it is a good demonstration of submission to God
Solomon praised God for the past fulfillment of His promises. Knowing this gave Solomon confidence in prayer. This open demonstration of faith and confidence made Solomon the king a role model for the nation. If the King kneels in submission to God and places his trust in God the there is no excuse for the rest of Isreal.
c. Solomon asked that the LORD our God be with us, as He was with our fathers: God promised to be with Israel, but Solomon knew it was important to ask God to fulfill His promise. The King was not relying of his own powers he came pleading for the promises of God. As a king and a religious leader Solomon showed the nation
His faith and subjugation to God
Nation unify behind shared values and hopes for the people

Solomon’s prayer is inspired not merely to help those within his national circle but to let the world know God is great. He prays That all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God: Solomon again shows the often-neglected missionary impulse God wanted in Israel. Blessing to Israel wasn’t meant to end with Israel; God wanted to bless the world through Israel.

MC still have a missionary charge and a prayer to make the world better by spreading the knowledge of God.
