The scriptures tell us that the church should address sin within the church. In this teaching, Clint Perkins discuses:

1) When addressing sin, you must be spiritual. Galatians 6:1

2) If someone who professes to be a believer is living in sin and refuses to repent, the church must put them out and we must have nothing to do with that person. This is to be done in love with the intention that the person will understand the severity of living in sin. 5.1-1Cor.5.12" class="scriptRef">1 Corinthians 5:1-12 (verses 2, 5 , 12)

3) We must judge the sin. 1 Corinthians 5:3, 12

4) Before we judge, we must deal with our own sin first. Matthew 7:1-6

5) People who aren't spiritual, cannot understand why the church should judge sin. 1 Corinthians 2:13-16
