King Jehoshaphat of Judah, feared the evil King Ahab of Israel and strengthened the borders of Judah, served GOD, destroyed Idols and was blessed by GOD with peace and prosperity in his Kingdom until he formed an alliance with King Ahab, and went to war with him against the King of Syria. The battle quickly turned against them, King Ahab was mortally foundered, and King Jehoshaphat would have lost his life, had not GOD intervened on the battlefield on his behalf. GOD was not pleases with King Jehoshaphat's evil alliance, nor with the innocent lost souls that fought and died at his command on behalf of King Ahab, husband of Jezebel. GOD WAS ANGRY! King Jehoshaphat was afraid of the wrath of GOD so he implemented a system of Judicial reform in the Kingdom of Judah... hoping somehow that GOD would not poor out his wrath upon his Kingdom. Because while he was away befriending King Ahab whom he feared, his Kingdom of Judah returned to the practice of Idolatry. After all they had seen their King colluding with the idol worshipping King Ahab, so they reasoned if it was good enough for their King to fellowship with King Ahab, it was good enough for them.
