Contrary to popular belief, Jeremiah was not a bull frog. He was actually a prophet of the ancient world, and a pretty cool one at that.
I think we see something fairly unique in this passage. God and Jeremiah seem to take turns expressing their grief over the fall of Judah and their seemingly inevitable doom. For me, this seems to be the most emotionally intimate moment in the book of Jeremiah thus far, and I think it's also...pretty cool.
