“Jesus said … I am the Bread of Life” (John 6:35ff)
I. Three statements in John 6 point to the wrong
things to which these Jews were looking for
satisfaction.
A. Some thought it was ____________ that would
satisfy.
1. They thought that if their physical _________
and ____________ were met and met with
abundance, then their lives would be just like
they wanted them to be. (John 6:26)
2. ____________ things never satisfy for long.
(John 6:27)
B. Some thought it was their own ____________
that would satisfy.
1. They thought that if they just ____________
the right things to do and ____________ hard
enough to do them that life would be good
and God would be pleased. (John 6:28; Luke
18:18; 20-21)
2. ____________ the efforts of Jesus and not
our own efforts is the answer. (John 6:29;
Ephesians 2:8-9)
C. Some thought it was ____________ that would
satisfy.
1. ____________ miracle is never enough for
such folks. (John 6:30-31)
2. They wanted a series of spiritual highs … and
Jesus offered something different … He
