This is the 9th broadcast in the book of Ecclesiastes series

In this lesson, Pastor Mike continues his teaching in Ecclesiastes 5:1~6

God listens to us when we speak to Him. We should be mindful to never make a promise to God that we cannot keep. Your word to Him is your Bond. It is better to remain silent and not make a promise than it is to break a promise to God you have made. We should not speak hasty words or use the Lords name in vain. Blaspheming God or using vulgar words to accentuate the point of a story diminishes the value of what we have to say. On judgment day, we will be held accountable for every broken vow and careless word.

We should make a conscientious effort to be more careful and deliberate with the words we choose. The words we speak to others are a revelation of what dwells within our own souls. Offensive words are imprinted on our hearts long before they ever leave our mouths. Think only good thoughts and align your speech with the word of God. We can bring a blessing to ourselves and each other by not letting aberrant thoughts enter our hearts or proceed from our mouths. Always be honest, genuine and sincere with your words, Be kindhearted and speak the truth in love, to one another.
