Are you weary in serving the Lord? The priests in Malachi’s time who treated the service of God like a job and not as a form of worship, spoke evil against God when they saw the wicked prosper and themselves not profiting from serving the Lord.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nevertheless, there remained people who reverenced God and who were faithful to Him, not allowing the circumstances around them to discourage them. These people who loved God encouraged one another in their walk with God; they frequently remembered the Lord and spoke about Him. It is evident that these people had a personal relationship with God - they understood and had experienced God’s immutable attributes of holiness, justice, truth, mercy and love in their lives, and thus they could trust the One whom they knew.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
God promises to reward those who remember Him and who walk with Him even when times are difficult (James 1:12). The Almighty God personally listens to what we say and He remembers what we do for Him. We are His special treasure, exceedingly precious in His sight. Each of us who trust in Jesus as our Saviour is “a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master's use, and prepared unto every good work.” (2Timothy 2:21)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the day we see Jesus face-to-face, we will rejoice when we receive our eternal rewards, “an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you” (1Peter 1:4).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Friend, do not give up living for God! Persevere through trials and temptation, depending on God who will preserve you till you reach your heavenly home. “Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. “ (1Peter 1:5)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let your service to God be worship of Him and not a chore; do all things for the glory of Christ that your work for Him will be “gold, silver, precious stones” (1Corinthians 3:12). Exercise your faith in Christ and let “your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ” (1Peter 1:7)!
