Nothing you do can ever earn God’s favour. As His blood-bought child, He has always loved you with an everlasting love and nothing will make Him love you less.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“...Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
(Jeremiah 31:3) God’s everlasting love surpasses all knowledge in that its fullness and greatness cannot be fully embraced and understood by the finite human mind.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
God’s love does not diminish despite your failures, weaknesses and sins. Christ Jesus came into this world to die for your sins so that God could love you; He saves you right to the end until you enter eternity to be with Him forever (Jude 1:24-25). “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1John 4:10)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our joy in Christ does not depend on how well we have performed in our Christian life or in our service to Him, but our joy rests on knowing that God loves us with an unconditional and infinite love, despite our shortcomings. Our joy is based on God’s love for us in the finished work of Christ. “Keep yourselves in the love of God...” (Jude 1:21) Child of God, always remember that you are loved by your Heavenly Father and His love for you is for eternity!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Christ dwells in us because God the Holy Spirit lives in us permanently once we place our trust and dependence on Jesus to save us from all our sins (Romans 8:9-10).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The more we are established in the sense of God’s love to us, the more we realise the greatness and vastness of His love, and this should spur us on to live for Him and serve Him with gladness. This conforms us to be more like Christ in holiness and perfection as we pursue after God and His ways, being transformed by the Holy Spirit who renews our inner man as we feed on the Word of God (Romans 12:2, 2Corinthians 4:16).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let us be filled with God’s love by studying His Word to know Him more and by communing with Him by prayer throughout each day!
