(1 John 3:22-23)

[22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
[23] And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We will receive what we pray for when we obey God; because when we are obeying God, what we ask for will be in line with God’s will. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This promise of God in 1John 3:22 does not mean that we can have everything we ask for, such as instant riches to satisfy our worldly lusts. Remember this verse:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(James 4:2-3)
“...Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”
