Jesus Walks on the Water
(Matthew 14:22-33)

God
is almighty.
Jesus is the Word who became flesh (Jn 1:14)
and the almighty Son of God (Jn 1:18).
Therefore, He goes beyond nature (Mt 14:26).
However, He is a man born of a woman (Mt 1:23).
So He cannot go beyond the flesh (Mk 11:12).
Similarly,
Jesus has both natures of divinity and humanity (Jn 20:19-20)
and both surpasses and is restrained (Mk 4:38-39).
Since He gave Himself for us all (Mt 20:28),
we must drink His blood to gain life (Jn 6:53)
and eat His flesh to gain eternal life (Jn 6:54).
We become God’s children by receiving His spirit (Gal 4:6).
He also made our faith stand firm (2 Cor 1:21-22)
by pouring the Holy Spirit on us (Jn 20:22).
The Holy Spirit is the Advocate of Jesus (Jn 14:16-17).
This is how we (who are children of human beings)
became God’s children (Rom 8:14-16),
and so we do what Jesus has been doing (Jn 14:12)
and we always receive the grace of God (Mk 16:20).
◎ Jesus is not a ghost.
He is a surpassing being
and a restrained being.
◎ If Jesus catches us,
we will come out of deep water
and live soundly.
◎ If we just believe in Jesus (who now sits on the throne),
He will comfort us from there
and our spirits will receive grace.
※ Let’s receive the Lord’s grace.
Since the Lord knows our situation,
He will help us day and night.
