The Lord of Judgment
(John 5:19-23)

God
is the righteous Judge (Ps 50:6).
God
entrusted all authority to judge to the Son (Jn 5:22).
This is so that the Son does whatever the Father does (Jn 5:19)
and so the Son be honored
just like the Father is honored (Jn 5:23).
Therefore,
He created the universe and everything in it (Acts 17:24-31)
for the Son and through the Son (Col 1:16).
The sinful angel was confined there until judgement (Jud 6)
and it prepared for the coming of the Lord, who judges (Eph 1:9-10).
Therefore,
the one to be judged is the ruler of this world, who is the devil (Jn 16:11).
He is the angel who sinned from the beginning (1 Jn 3:8).
The next to be judged are those who belong to the devil:
first, false prophets and antichrists (Rev 20:10),
next, unbelievers and sinners (Rev 21:8),
and then, those who do not obey (Rev 20:12).
As His judgement is righteous (Rev 16:5),
the Lord is the Righteous One who is without sin (Jn 18:38),
He is God and He is God’s Son (Jn 1:18).
The Holy Spirit testifies to this (Jn 15:26).
〇 Only God judges.
His judgement is towards all those in heaven
and those on earth.
〇 As Jesus’ resurrection is righteous,
He judges the devil, who holds the authority of death.
〇 Since Jesus’ name is Immanuel,
He judges those who do not believe His name.
※ God’s Son is righteous,
His deeds are righteousness, and His word is the truth.
Only those who know the truth are eternally free.
