Today’s Verse: 1 Corinthians 4:4 (NKJV)
“For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.”
Paul was attacked from every direction: religious leaders, pagans, and even some within the church. Yet he could say, “I know of nothing against myself,” not because he thought he was perfect, but because he rested in the fact that Jesus alone is his Judge.
He refused to live chained to other people’s opinions, accusations, or gossip. In a world like ours, where a single post, comment, or rumor can stir up anxiety, shame, or fear, this truth is incredibly freeing: you are not defined by what others say about you, but by what the Lord declares over you in Christ.
So today, refuse to give more weight to human voices than to the voice of your Savior. Bring the criticism, slander, comments, and even your own harsh self-judgment to Jesus, and ask Him to search your heart and correct what needs correcting.
