As part of our faith walk, we desire to be used of God.

In our passion to serve we rush out into a world desperately looking for answers. We come alongside others in the name of Jesus expecting mighty results only to find at times disappointment, frustration, failure, etc. We then wonder what went wrong?

• Did we not understand what God was telling us?
• Were we running ahead in our own strength?
• Did we not have enough faith?

Indeed, it may could have been any of these causes or something else completely. How do we reconcile results and faith with serving God and seeking to reflect Christ to others?

In this message we explore some answers to these questions, and examine an incident involving the failed attempt of Jesus' disciples to minister in His name. From Jesus' counsel to the disciples, we discuss why prayer is a first step in all ministry.
