"Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good." Psalm 25:7

Praise the Lord !
The topic for today's sermon is LORD REMEMBER, REMEMBER NOT.
Should God remember or not? Let's make it clear, It's not an order but a prayer, where we desire God to remember certain things at the same time not remember certain things....
Today's meditation verse PS 25:7 which says
"Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! "

A psalm of David where David asks God to forget the sins of his youth, but to remember David through the steadfast love of God, through the goodness of God.
For God to remember us we are not purely righteous, purely spiritual but through His constant love and His goodness like David we need to pray to God to remember us but forget our sins.

Though the planet earth has 7.8 billion people existing on it, God's eyes search the righteous and looks upon them with kindness, and God responds to anyone who calls upon him. The Bible says one day we all will stand before him to give an account of every single deed, thought and word that comes out from our mouth.

1)GOD RECORDS ALL ----
*What all does God record? --- acc ECC 12:14 God records everything we do good & bad work.
Ref: Mal 3:16; Rev 20:12, Rom14:11,12
2)GOD REMEMBERS ALL --- What all can God remember? There's no limit for God's memory.
For example,
*Math 10:42 Even if we fetch a glass of water, God remembers our deed. Since God remembers He certainly rewards us according to our deeds.....
Offering a glass of water is such a least important thing we could do and God remembers that and how much more will God remember our acts, our deeds, our secret thoughts, God indeed remembers all.....
*Ref. Heb 6:10

**How long does God remember?
May be your good deed or bad deed but God certainly remembers:-
« throughout our lives..
« even up-to our three to four generations,
«It would be remembered even in the presence of God in the last day.

Positive example :-
God made covenant with David and remembered it to all his generations, God remembers all time, there were 20+ kings of Judah kingdom but they were all generation of David

Negative example:-
Ref Deut 5:9 God will remember (the sins), up-to three to four generations.

How strongly God remembers?
« God remembers for hundreds of years together ---- eg:- When the Israelites were being slaves in Egypt, God rescues them out of Egypt and on their way to inherit the promised land, Canaan ; the Amalekites stopped them to proceed, they were the first group of people who started a war against the Israelites acc to Exo 17:8-16; But God rescued the Israelites from the Amalekites and the Israelites went on and inherited the promised land Canaan. Generations changed and people forgot but God remembered.
In 1 Sam 15:1-9 When Israel got their first ever King Saul, God first remembered the Amalekites who opposed the Israelites 360 years ago (ex 17:8-16)... And God sent Saul and his army to defeat and completely destroy the Amalekites.... Thats how God REMEMBERS, you may forget those who troubled you but God would remember.

Examples
A)Luke16:19-25;
Jesus quoted a parable, two characters the Rich man and a poor man named Lazarus, the rich man lived a luxurious life on earth, but Lazarus was poor, he ate the left over food from the rich man's table, his skin was covered with sores....
Both of them die, and Lazarus' soul is being carried by the angels to Heaven where as the Rich man's soul went to Hades(world of the dead). When their souls are in heaven and hell, God reminds through Abraham to Remember the good luxuries that the rich man endured, and the struggles that Lazarus endured when both were on earth. This proves us that every deed we do, the suffering we endure here and everything is being remembered by God even after our death.

B) Math 25:34-46
God indeed remembers our good deeds as well as our bad deeds. And God rewards us accordingly..

3)GOD REWARDS ALL ---
Ref Rom 2:6; 2 Corin 5:10; Ps 62:12
Can God actually forget our sins, errors and our faults?
YES! God loves us so much that when we pray and ask for it, He does.Acc jer 31:34, Heb 8:12, Heb 10:17
Jesus took those records which was against us and nailed it on the cross Col 2:14

God forgives us, but if we get back to our sins God can even forget the good deeds that we did because of our bad deeds.. Acc to Eze 33:13..Not just our sins God can even forget our good work.

Believing Jesus, we pray to God asking God to forget our sins and to Remember us by His grace.
May the Lord answer our prayer as He answered David's prayer in ps 25:7 and remembered David and his generation.
May the Lord remember us and our generation until He returns in his glory....
AMEN!
