Mark 3:1-19
VERSE OF THE DAY: Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.—Mark 3:7-8
In Mark 3, Jesus demonstrates that He is Lord of the Sabbath by healing a man with a withered hand ON the Sabbath, a great crowd follows Him, and He settles on the choosing of His 12 apostles.
REFLECTION: The Gospel is Attractive
• Over the course of history, there have been seasons where people have
been inexplicably drawn in from the corners of the earth to be with Jesus.
• We sometimes call this “Revival.”
• The good news draws people in.
Q's: Have you experienced this? Have you been drawn in by a move of God? When was the last time you had a hard time walking away from the presence of God? When was the last time you were compelled to go somewhere because you knew the Lord was there?
• The message of Jesus is contagious.
• It’s hard to stay away.
