We will examine passages in
Matthew 12:22-32 regarding what Jesus said about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and it being unforgivable and compare it with
Mark 3:22-30 in order to understand the context of why Jesus said what He did. This helps reveal to us today a true understanding of the context regarding blaspheming the Holy Spirit and helps us to understand that it may not even be possible for someone to commit today since Jesus is no longer walking the earth and performing miracles like He did in the first century. But regardless of whether it is something that someone can do today or not, one must not overlook the context of
Mark 3:30 referring to the focus of Jesus saying what He did about there being no forgiveness to someone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit and how it was in reference to the Scribes and Pharisees saying that Jesus had an unclean Spirit and was casting out devils by the prince of devils, knowing very well that what Jesus was doing was something only God could do. In this video we will learn greater depth about what blasphemy is referring to in this instance and see it through the light of Scripture. I want people who have been condemned by a misunderstanding of this passage to receive the truth and allow it to set them free so that they can have hope in Jesus Christ. If you still have breath in your lungs and want to be saved from sin and its consequences, then there is hope for you in Jesus Christ.
