Topic: Colossians 2: 6 - 15
This passage is a reminder of what Jesus did through His death. His death didn't just save me from wrath, but cancels all my debts! That means, Christian life isn't a life of performance but a life lived in gratitude for all that Christ has done. It isn't a life filled with DUTY(ies) - to please God by our efforts (pray long, read Bible, evangelize, share a thought, no movies, no secular songs, etc), but a life lived in DELIGHT (I pray because I want to respond to God in humility and ask Him to meet with my needs, I read because I want to hear God, i evangelize because I don't want others to miss hearing God's message of reconciliation, etc). I cannot please God by my efforts. He is too holy to please Him by my works. Only Christ pleased the Father. I don't have to finish what Christ has already finished. The point is to "rest in Christ’s work" and "not on our silly efforts to prove we are someone to God"
