I don't do this because of what I've read, I do this because of who I know. The Father who sent his Son to die so we can receive to Holy Spirit. The Spirit that helps us return back into the image of God so we can have everlasting life... if you don't have a relationship with the Father outside of the bible then let's talk about it.
