Today Pastor Robert Upshaw takes us through the moment Jesus was bound up and sacrificed Himself for us, and the scene when Judas hanged himself after betraying Jesus. Judas had an opportunity to choose Jesus, but instead, he gave into the temptation, surrendering his friend to those who wanted to do evil to Him.

Matthew 27:1-10

Have you ever...or recently...given in to a temptation that has made you feel like a failure, like you'll never succeed, or that has filled you with shame or regret?

Please know that, when you take everything to Jesus—whether it's sin, failure, or defeat—He always forgives because His sacrifice for you and deep love for you will always be greater than ANY failure.

The prophet Isaiah foretold the depth of Jesus' sacrifice for you and me when he said this: "He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand. One look at him and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum. But the fact is, it was our pains he carried—our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed." (Isaiah 53:4-5, The Message paraphrase)
