Trinitarians often deny Jesus is Michael the Archangel because Jude 1:9 says Michael did not accuse Satan directly but instead deferred to Jaho(h)-ah. This understanding of Michael in the Bible completely ignores the fact he did not have “all authority in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18) at the time of the OT events described in Jude 1:9. It also fails to realize that Jesus also deferred to God in his responses to the Devil in Luke 4:1-13, as well as what is taught in Revelation 12:7-10: Michael not only rebukes Satan (different from his dispute over Moses’ body), but he fights with Satan, beats him, and then throws him out of heaven at the precise moment the same account (verse 10) describes as “the authority of [God’s] Christ.”

The question Trinitarians are left without an answer to is this: If Jesus is God and as Christ his authority begins in Revelation Chapter 12, why did Michael fight with Satan and throw him out instead of deferring to the Christ, the one with “all authority”? We believe the answer is obvious: Because Jesus is Michael, the biblical Archangel.—See also Daniel 12:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 1:1.
