In our lesson this week Peter speaks before the Sanhedrin. He gives credit to Jesus Christ for healing a lame man. He goes on to share that Jesus had been raised from the dead and it bothered the Religious Elite.

The council observed that Peter and John were uneducated men, and was surprised by their boldness. They took note that the two had been with Jesus. They threatened them to stop preaching in the name of Jesus, but the men responded they would speak what they have seen and heard.

We learn that Satan may oppose those who do God’s work and the world may come against us get serving Christ. We can trust that the Lord will hold us up when the enemy attacks.
