26 A wise king winnows out the wicked;
he drives the threshing wheel over them.
27 The human spirit is[a] the lamp of the LORD
that sheds light on one’s inmost being.
28 Love and faithfulness keep a king safe;
through love his throne is made secure.

1In the LORD’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water
that he channels toward all who please him.
2 A person may think their own ways are right,
but the LORD weighs the heart.
3 To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Introduction: There is an urgency in the air in America. Our lives and those of the next generation’s lives hang in the balance. Yet those who follow Christ are His vehicles for righteousness. This is the only hope for the sustained blessing of God to be upon this land.
