"I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches..."

The best image I have is the lottery. Have you ever seen someone win the lottery? Or how about those commercials where they come up to the door with a $10M check? The typical reaction isn't "oh, cool..." Usually they jump up and down, scream, hug the camera man, start crying... and isn't that an appropriate response? They have just received the answer to all of their problems (at least they think so)...

I remember the first time I ever heard God speak directly to me. It was December 5, 2005. He just said 3 words, but they changed my life. I cried, I laughed, I jumped up and down. I think I only slept an hour that night, I was so overwhelmingly amazed and excited. What an amazing thing to be able to say "I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches."

Have you never experienced that? Ask God for it, then simply read His word. He's not stingy. He wants you to experience His Word like that!
