It has been said that truth is the first casualty of war. This has been demonstrated to be correct throughout the ages. The first war in human history occurred when Satan caused Eve to doubt the truth of God’s word regarding the tree in the midst of the garden. By rejecting the truth and believing the lie, death entered the world. The devil assassinated truth as a means to begin a war and murder the first man. Mankind has been at war with our spiritual enemy ever since.
During the tribulation, John describes a war breaking out in heaven. This war takes place in the angelic realm. Satan and his fallen angels are defeated and cast to the earth. This causes a voice in heaven to proclaim a woe to those on the earth because the devil knows his time is short. He begins his final battle against humanity by focusing on the Jews, but as they are protected by the Lord, he turns his hatred toward the followers of Christ.
What hope does the world have against Satan when he pours out his wrath upon God’s chosen people?
