VBR is a bible study project inspired by the popular “Bible Readings” conducted in the brotherhood in the early 20th Century. These Bible Readings were generally 6 weeks, or more, of intense daily Bible study meetings for all Christians. They resulted in considerable spiritual growth in the brotherhood with many students becoming elders, evangelists and teachers.

In the 21st Century, 6-week bible readings are difficult to accomplish, therefore the concept of video bible readings (VBR) is a modern alternative to promote personal bible study among the Lord’s church today.

Tom Allen from the Nixa church of Christ and Dwain Stoops from the Riverside Road church of Christ are initiating the direction and production of VBR as an online source of private bible studies taught by various faithful evangelists, elders, or teachers over the coming years.
