The first 3 verses of Psalm 35. I wrote this in 2008, and I've always really liked it.

When I write music to Psalms, I know it's finished when it "resonates" with me - and even though I've written more music to Psalm 35, it doesn't quite feel done yet, so I will probably re-write it some day. But I do love these first 3 verses. Enjoy!

1 Plead my cause, O LORD, with those who strive with me;
Fight against those who fight against me.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler,
And stand up for my help.
3 Also draw out the spear,
And stop those who pursue me.
Say to my soul,
“I am your salvation.”
