Romans 6:15-23 "We have the freedom to make our own destiny." We don't. The truth is we are slaves—slaves of our sin or slaves of righteousness.

But slavery to sin is not our destiny. Not at all. We don't have to come under his power. But this next section shows how we are enslaved to something.

The negative option is sin. The cheap option is justice. Who are you at the mercy of? Positionally, you are a slave of righteousness in the eyes of God. God sees you that way, and as you sacrifice your body more and more for justice, you become a true slave to it.

The question remains: how do we live under grace, not under the law? How do we act as slaves of justice? We have learned that in Christ Jesus we must consider ourselves dead for sin and alive for God.

We have seen that sin does not rule us. We have discovered that the goal is to eliminate the body of sin. how is it? How do we live this way?

Much of this week sermon takes advantage of the concurrency of slavery. Who will you serve? Jesus said, "No one can serve two masters, because they hate one and love the other, or dedicate themselves to one and despise the other" (Matthew 6:24). There is only one master.
