Psalm 118:6-7 served as a continual reminder of God's presence during a time of great stress and uncertainty for me. The reminder that "The Lord is with me" got me through that time. Months later, I was reading Psalm 118 when I came to verse 5, which says "When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place." I was struck by my past 6 months had unfolded just as the verse says! God had brought me into a place of peace and rest after a time of being "hard pressed." This song is a reflection on these verses that I hope will be an encouragement to many.

Psalm 118:5-7: "When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies."
