One of the grand repetitive themes in the Word of God is that we have not chosen Christ, but  He has chosen us; born again by the will of God, not by any synergism on our part. That truth is known as Monergism, and has virtually died out among much of modern Christianity. The testimony of Scripture is clear,  that it is GOD who has redeemed us, absolutely apart from any synergism  on our part.
