This week we discover an individual who considers himself a weakling, but with God‘s strength was able to do an heroic deed. Gideon was afraid of his family and the townsfolk, but God knew that he could get the task done with his help.
God had instructed the children of Israel to remove the inhabitants in the promised land along with all of their belongings. They were afraid to do it. But Gideon took action by pulling down his father’s Baal’s Altar and setting up an altar to honor the Lord.
There may be things in our lives that causes conflict or threatens our relationship/commitment to God. Those things need to be completely removed.
