God is terrifying and awesome! We don't, we dare not deal with Him lightly. And this is what makes the forgiveness of sins so mind-boggling. That solely because of His grace, He should choose to make you clean in His sight. That's astounding. We only realise the immensity of salvation when we become aware of the weight of His righteous anger against us - which is poured out on Christ at the cross. Here today, Joshua and the Israelites are the tools of judgment, and this episode gives us pause for thought.
