“TAKE ANOTHER LOOK” W1S114 (03-27-19) Revelation 14:14-16
--------------------------------
Revelation 14:14 (TPT) says, “I looked and behold—I saw a white cloud, and sitting upon it was one like the Son of Man, wearing a golden crown and holding a sharp sickle.”
● Revelation 14:14 (AMPC) says, “Again I looked, and behold, [I saw] a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud One resembling a Son of Man, with a crown of gold on His head and a sharp scythe (sickle) in His hand.”
● Understanding the book of Revelation requires us to be willing to see beyond that which is printed in black and white. First of all, the Greek word used for “sickle” is drepanon {dddrep’–pä–non} meaning, a gathering hook. This is why I think this is referring to the final harvest in THAT DAY, just prior to A.D. 70 and NOT about ANY FUTURISTIC harvest or gathering in. So, John saw “a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man.”
● Since the “atmospheric clouds” form and float in the physical heavens above, the spiritual application of meaning here would be that the location of this particular scene is that the invisible heavens speak of the spiritual or supernatural realm of the Lord. The invisible realm is real, yet cannot be seen with human eyes indicating that it cannot be seen or known with a human or carnal understanding.
● The truth is that we are spirit-beings and move at a speed which cannot be easily seen in this natural realm without having supernatural sightedness. So, what if I told you that the revelation of this passage of scripture does not pertain to the person of Jesus as one individual per se? This pertains to the many who are in Christ, which here refers to sons of God, meaning sons and daughters of God. And as sons of God, who are fully aware of the manifesting of their sonship, have learned that they operate beyond this natural realm.
● Now, most people believe in the supernatural realm of God; but many do not understand that realm. It is like you seeing your body in the mirror, yet within your body, there is your soul and spirit. That is what I call a realm, within a realm, within another realm. We live in this natural earthly realm that we see, touch and hear; yet we also live in the supernatural realm by virtue of the fact that we are spirit-beings who are the mirrored reflection of God.
● The book of Revelation is the Revelation or Unveiling of the glory of the person of Jesus Christ dwelling within you. That is why the revelation of this message is so powerful in that sons of God manifest OUT OF the knowledge of our supernatural God, which is the realm we must become aware that we live OUT OF the most. We must understand that in this realm, the Finished Work of Jesus has made us One in Jesus and that there was always just ONE single cloud of glory.
● Now in Revelation 14:15, another angel now appears. This is the first of a second series of three angels or messengers, using the word, “another,” which is not by comparison with Him who sits upon the white cloud, but by comparison with the three angels previously spoken of in the sixth, eighth, and ninth verses of this chapter. Here, Jesus is called an “angel” or “messenger” in reference to His mission, not in reference to His nature. This angle {äwn’–go–loss} is not a shining being with wings flying through the atmosphere. This symbolically represents the distributing of the word of God to all humankind.
● Father God wants all mankind to know that they are loved by Him and that they have been reconciled to Him through the Finished Work of Christ. And God has committed to us that word of reconciliation so that the world will know that He is in them, and all are one in the One man, Christ Jesus. I hope you are enlightened and inspired to dig into the truth that makes people free as you watch this video lesson!
